Artist's
Statement
"These 'Moonscapes' are a study in form, texture and depth.
I am interested in how the paint itself responds to different conditions
and ingredients. The search for unexplained results includes the
use of moulds, sculpting material, the manipulating of canvas before
stretching and the exploiting of different drying rates.
Beyond this is an interest in that place where art meets science,
where the natural universe as viewed from unusual angles astounds
with beauty and mystery. But my emerging concern is how our own
footprint
appears on the landscape."
