Artist's Statement
The Instructional Diagram - ordering us to comply and adhere to the rules - simple, matter-of-fact.

On the everyday level we are not well equated with medical instructions - diagrammatic instructions are everywhere but they only serve a purpose in their appropriate situations. They exist to be referred back to at certain times, times of need. This purpose remains the same in the paintings, the written instruction is there to remind you of the circumstance of existence. The image on the other hand is enhanced - slightly removed by aesthetic rendering - almost to a point where the written instructions and the context of the image and order become separate by our desire-driven attention distracted by the pull of the beauty element.

"Dedicated to you - but you weren't listening"
