Artist's
Statement
"I am a self-taught painter with a keen eye for detail and
hold great score in the importance of drawing.
My approach is vigorous with a great love of colour running through
all my pieces. My subject matter is diverse from still life to abstract,
tailored to fit into modern interiors echoing today's environmental
style trends and tastes.
I work both in gouache and acrylic utilising crisp lines and sharp
contrasts in colour light and shade. I have
visited many countries and am inspired by the diversity and richness
of culture found within them.
My subject matter is often influenced by these experiences especially
within representational pieces.
My abstract and semi-abstract work is filled with colour often influenced
by the visits made to hot countries
and Far East lands."
