About
the Artist
Steve Sanderson Achieved an HND in Graphic Design from Blackpool
& the Fylde College.
In 1996 he undertook a commission from Mount St. Bernard Abbey in
Leicester to paint a portrait of
Cyprian Michael Iwene Tansi, the first Nigerian cistercian monk.

Artist's
Statement
"I have had an interest in art ever since I was a child. Since
1995 I have been painting on a regular basis.
My first real paintings were impressionistic landscapes in oils
and watercolour. Slowly over the years my style
has slowly developed, and I find myself now doing more creative
pictures from my imagination.
Making pictures is still a magical and mysterious process to me,
and long may it be so. I consider these
paintings to be the first chapter of what I hope will be a long
and interesting book"
