Artist's Statement
" My work is concerned with visual issues - colour relationships, texture, form, transparency and balance.
Some pieces develop directly from experimentation with materials, while others are drawn from observation
and the minds' own databanks. I am influenced by the landscape and elements within it, and painters
including Matisse, Nicholson, Irvin, Heron and Caulfield. The materials and methods I use are diverse,
and I am constantly searching for new ways to express my ideas."
